I am not big on tampons but I like the packaging of this o.b. Orginal Super Tampons – it comes in a calming blue box and it’s discrete enough. I particularly like that it’s waste-free since it does not come with an applicator, but I find that it’s not too convenient to bring around as they can get dirty easily. It’s pretty okay to use without the applicator, so I feel like it’s still an effective product.
Mr K and I are huge coffee drinkers but we aren’t too big on full coffee creamers. I usually use skim milk or half and half, and Mr K drinks black coffee unless he’s in a rush and adds milk to cool it down. It’s been a while since we had full cream in our coffee, which was why we decided to give Dunkin’ Donuts Coffee Creamer a go.
Dunkin’ Donuts Coffee Creamer comes in six flavors: Original, Extra Extra, Vanilla, Hazelnut, Caramel and Chocolate, and they come in 32oz bottles with a nice easy-to-open flip top. When we went to the store earlier this week, Dunkin’ Donuts creamers were easily recognizable at the milk section from their signature orange color. First impression: the bottle is HUGE!
We finally decided to try the chocolate flavor as I usually order mocha at cafes and let’s not judge Mr K, but he often throws a cube of chocolate into his coffee in the morning. That is to say, we both like chocolate in our coffee.
What I later noticed was the word New on the bottle of the chocolate creamer but not on the others, so I did a little digging around. Apparently, Dunkin’ Donuts first introduced their coffee creamers in 2014 and later added three more flavors (Caramel, Hazelnut and Vanilla) in 2015 as you can read from the press release here. What I did not find was a press release on the chocolate flavored creamer, so I’m guessing they later added this to their range of flavors (correct me if I’m wrong).
Anyway, on to the tasting – Mr K and I have been enhancing morning coffees with the Dunkin’ Donuts chocolate creamer the last few mornings. Here are our thoughts:
It’s creamy, it’s yummy and it’s not too sweet. The chocolate flavor did taste a little artificial to me at times, but it was very very tasty. Each serving (1 tbsp/about 15ml) is only 35 calories, which is comparable to store-brand half and half (16 calories/tbsp) but it has quite a bit more calories than skim milk (6 calories/tbsp). Let’s be honest though, one tablespoon of any type of milk or cream is probably not enough for one cup of coffee – so the calories can stack up.
A bottle of Dunkin’ Donut creamer costs $2.96 at the store, which I would say is very reasonable for such a big bottle. On the bottle, it says that it is best used within seven days after opening. That would be my only concern as for a couple like us, it is hard for us to go through such a big bottle in a week.
Overall, I can’t be absolutely sure that we will continue to buy Dunkin’ Donuts chocolate creamer, only because we are not big creamer people to start with and it is hard for us to finish such a big bottle each week. However, adding Dunkin’ Donuts chocolate creamer to your coffee sure makes your coffee extra creamy and extra yummy. It easily beats adding just a cube of chocolate into your coffee, like Mr K does (again, not judging :P). For those who are considering giving Dunkin’ Donuts coffee creamer, I would say yes, go ahead!
